Jaded — Introducing a New Voice

Josephine (Josie)
Hello Jaded people! This is Josephine, but you can call me Josie. I’ll be the voice here in our biweekly newsletter; sharing the behind-the-scenes stories from Jaded HQ and keeping you connected to the events that bring our community together.
If we haven’t met yet let me introduce myself. I am part of the Jaded internship program, working alongside an incredible team of students who, like me, are passionate about shaping the next era of fashion with courage and creativity. A little about my path: I began my career in healthcare, working as a CNA right after high school. For five years, I cared for others in that space, but deep down I knew I was meant to create. Eventually, I had my own Jaded moment, the kind of turning point that challenges you to step into your true self, and decided to return to school to study fashion design. Now, as I enter my second year at Chaffey College, this internship has been an empowering opportunity to learn, grow, and live out the very values Jaded stands for: reinvention, boldness, and building something bigger than yourself.
The past two weeks have been filled with moments that embody that spirit—and I can’t wait to share them with you. Let’s dive in.
Forever Her’s
That Girl Pageant Girl
It’s not always easy to be that girl —the one who chooses courage, who dares to change her story—but what’s really stopping us except ourselves? At Jaded, we return to this truth often because it’s the heart of who we are: making a change is not only possible, it’s sometimes necessary.
This past weekend, we had the honor of officially launching our partnership with the Forever Her’s pageant, a space dedicated to empowering women to take that leap of faith and transform their lives. There, we met so many incredible women who embody resilience and reinvention, and today we’re highlighting one of them: Chelsea Ronquilo, a Forever Her’s delegate I had the pleasure of speaking with at the launch party.
Chelsea is an aerialist, a hairstylist, and above all, a role model for her daughter. While she’s already thriving as a hairstylist, she’s also building toward her bigger vision, owning both a beauty salon and an acrobatics studio. In our conversation, we touched on themes that many women know all too well; especially when it comes to the challenges of love, ambition, and creating a safe future for our families. Chelsea spoke openly about her own turning point, her Jaded moment, when she realized it was time to walk away from a relationship that no longer served her and step boldly into a better future, not only for herself but for her daughter as well.
When asked what advice she would share with other women ready to make a change, her words were simple yet powerful: “Be brave, have faith over fear…walk with God.”
That kind of bravery can feel impossible when we face it alone, but together—as women, as a community—we create spaces where courage becomes contagious. And that’s exactly why organizations like Forever Her’s and gatherings like our Boss Ladies Mega Mixer are so important.

Creating Women Lead Spaces
Boss Ladies Mega Mix Recap

Jade - Jaded Founder
Chelsea’s story was just one powerful reminder of why spaces for women matter, because when we gather, share, and lift each other up, bravery doesn’t feel so far away. That same spirit came alive at our Boss Ladies Mega Mixer last Friday.
The evening brought together an incredible circle of ambitious women, each with their own story of perseverance and growth. The room buzzed with conversations that were equal parts inspiring and practical—women sharing how they’re expanding their businesses, balancing their careers, and carving out their own space in the world. From nail designers to paralegals, every woman who showed up added her own spark to the mix, reminding us that when women gather with purpose, transformation follows.
A highlight of the evening was hearing from our very own founder, Jade, who spoke on the heart of the Jaded movement, our mission to empower women to embrace their own Jaded moments and turn them into movements of change. And of course, we couldn’t resist sharing one of our favorite creations with you all, our restroom-ready romper,
For those who couldn’t be there, know that this is just the beginning. The Boss Ladies Mega Mixer is more than a single event; it’s an ongoing space for women to connect, collaborate, and be reminded of what’s possible when we lift each other up. We’ll be hosting another gathering next month, so stay tuned for announcements, invitations, and more opportunities to be part of the community of powerful women shaping the future with Jaded.
